Exposition "Je suis le fantôme de tout" à l'IESA !

Depuis qu’elles ont lancé leurs carrières artistiques à Paris, Olon et Yuu(ku) ont souvent collaboré. Elles sont fascinées depuis toujours par la culture des fantômes et le monde spirite, inspirées par les représentations de fantôme et les êtres surnaturels dans la culture populaire dans l'ouest et l'est. Ces artistes ont produit des œuvres digitales, inspirés par leur expériences pendant la pandémie globale de la Covid-19 en lien avec leur univers spirituel.

Les thèmes principaux sont: la peur du vide, de l'inconnu et de l'ambiguïté, et même la perte des douceurs dans la vie. Les artistes ont créé des personnages pour raconter leurs histoires et pour s'exprimer dans des mondes interactifs de fantaisie construits, dont elles invitent le public à y entrer, explorer et penser.

Les artistes ont également invité une vingtaine de leurs amis artistes, basés à Taiwan, à proposer leurs oeuvres sur ce sujet.

BI.ART Paris is pleased to present the multimedia group exhibition: "Je suis le fantôme de tout (I am the ghost of all)" composed of works such as photography, illustration, installation and multimedia put together by Taiwanese artists Olon, Yuu(ku) and their friends.

Since they launched their artistic careers in Paris, Olon and Yuu(ku) have often collaborated. They have always been fascinated by ghost culture and the spiritual world. Inspired by representations of ghosts and supernatural beings in popular culture in the West and East, they have produced colorful multimedia works motivated by personal and universal thoughts during the global Covid-19 pandemic.

The emotions generated around the supernatural and sinister topics are presented and discussed by the artists and their creations. Especially the emotion of fear of emptiness, the unknown and ambiguity, and even the loss of the sweets in life. The artists have created characters to tell their stories and to express themselves in interactive worlds of constructed fantasy, which they invite the audience to enter, explore and think about.

The artists also invited twenty of their artist friends, based in Taiwan, to elaborate on this subject.
